The Becca and Baby Fund

I’m not one for soliciting things from anyone, but these past few months have been super difficult for us, so here goes...
Rebecca Shepherd and I discovered we were going to have a baby in February, which was something of a surprise because it was looking a lot like her baby-making days were through. Still, it was a welcome surprise because we had always talked about having one more little person in our family. But things slowly began to take a turn for the worse as Becca was diagnosed with Hyperemesis gravidarum (HG).
This alone would be hard enough if she were of typical health going into this. As many of you who know Becca and I may be aware, she has Ehlers-Danlos syndrome type III/IV, a genetic disorder causing hypermobility in her connective tissues. This has become troublesome for her in the past couple years as it has affected the secondary development of POTS and Reynauds disease. Needless to say this is a high risk pregnancy, and doctors have been treating it as such.
She works as a behavioral therapist for early childhood clients with autism. That very quickly became something the doctors put a moratorium on for the remainder of her pregnancy. Baby Ezra is doing very well, and Becca is hanging in there despite being stuck in bed most of the time. She has a picc line now and she’s getting what she needs, but I’ve just barely been able to keep up with the bills and other things that we need to keep going. I’m out savings bonds and running low on gas, both physically and emotionally.
We are making it work. But it’s looking tighter and tighter. So here comes the ask.
Our family and close friends have done a lot to keep us afloat and help get us prepared for the journey through babyhood once again, but there are still some things we need, and without Becca’s income for the foreseeable future we are going to be hard pressed to put the money together.
Anything you can give helps tremendously.
