Hi All!
You are being included in this private GoFundMe because you are someone whose life is better because Jessica Jaderquist is a part of it. You are someone she has chosen to do life with, and you are somebody who has been walking alongside her in this challenging and heart-wrenching chapter of her life.
Many of you have asked me how you can help Jessica, and my first answer has ALWAYS been and will CONTINUE to be to pray, and to be present in her life. She feels and appreciates your prayers. But last night, my thoughtful brother-in-law had the tangible idea of helping ease the burden of lawyer fees. You guys, lawyer fees are a BEAST. Without going into too much detail, for perspective, to simply retain your lawyer, you throw down $3,500. That’s before the work even begins. Every single action has a fee. A drive to the court house is timed and charged. A single email correspondence is $25. any time spent on the case obviously has an hourly rate. You can see how quickly this all begins to add up. Jessica is taking it in stride. She is making sacrifices, life adjustments, and has picked up a second job over the summer to help make a dent in this tremendous burden that was forced upon her.
Which brings me to you. She is going to HATE that I did this, but I thought it was important to allow people the opportunity to step in and tangibly help if they felt so inclined to even slightly ease this huge financial burden. We know, love, and CHERRISH Jessica for the beautiful, selfless, thoughtful and intentional friend that she is. She would never ask for help and could at times earn awards for her stubbornness, which in my mind is all the more reason to go through with this.
This is obviously a sensitive GoFundMe that needs to remain private and NOT shared on Facebook. If you know of people who know what is going on, with discretion you are welcome to email or message them the link to this page. I don’t want Jessica to know this is going on because I’m sure she’ll try and fight it, (Insert eye roll emoji here.) so I’m thinking I will keep this open until August 31st, then quietly give her whatever we raised in one lump sum.
Thank you thank you for loving on Jessica so well and being such a wonderful community. Please continue to pray for Jessica and Eli as they piece together a new chapter. Please also keep Eric in your prayers, that he may turn to Christ in this time and find the peace, security and hope only Jesus can provide.
