I am writing to you on behalf of Beaverton Band Boosters of Beaverton High School. We are in our last quarter of the academic year and as of writing this letter, we are competing in the 2019 Band/Orchestra Metro League. Within our arts program, Shoshana Bean will be returning to Beaverton High School this month for another fantastic concert. How lucky are we to have an alum to be so talented!
We are preparing now for our 2019/2020 academic year. It’s never too soon to do so. We will have many middle school kids transitioning to our band program and not so many leaving us. We are in desperate need of repairing old instruments and purchasing new ones. We have guest clinicians to invite, sheet music to purchase and transport to cover. The arts programs always go underfunded and it is vital to the education of these kids to give them a great program.
In the past three years, the BHS performing arts programs received over $60,000 in support from the Swing ‘Fore’ the Future Ralph Holland, Jr. Memorial Golf Tournaments and last year's Shoshana Bean performance. The BHS community constantly strives to support our arts programs. Working hard together where Excellence Inspires Us. Instilling a passion for exploration where Learning Transforms Us! We care, we collaborate and we include where Community Connects Us! We embrace our rich legacy and traditions where Traditions Unite Us! Let’s Go Beavers!
