If you are reading this, then I want to say thank you! You care enough to be curious and we are happy to tell you more about what we are doing.
Jeremy and I have been married almost 12 years. We always wanted a big family, and we knew that adoption would eventually be a part of our family story. Jeremy and I are both children's therapists who work with foster and abandoned children every day. Over the past 6 years, God has blessed our marriage with three wonderful children and we began to actively pursue adoption at the beginning of this year. We were not planning on getting "matched" with a child until much later in the process, but God had a different plan for us. The next member of our family is a beautiful little three-year-old girl in Ch*na, who is waiting on us, even though she doesn't know we're coming yet. We know God’s timing is perfect, but we were a bit surprised by how quickly this process has unfolded. We are doing all we can to get this sweet one home before her 4th birthday this June!
Through God’s provision, we have been able to personally fund every step of the adoption thus far, which has been fantastic. Having said that, we are now at the point where we need to raise funds to complete it. At the bottom you will see a fee schedule for adoption from Ch*na, if you are curious to know in more detail the total cost. We have been and will continue to apply for grants, and this gofundme will not be all that we do for fundraising (local friends stay tuned).
The next immediate step is for us to send our dossier to Ch*na. For several reasons, we’d like to do this right away. Unfortunately, we simply do not have the funds to continue. So, we are sincerely asking for your help. Our daughter is waiting for us several thousand miles away, and we need help to bring her home. Whether or not you are able to provide financial support, we are grateful for you taking part in our story.
