Beautify SF Chinatown's Wentworth Alley

Non profit organization - Be Chinatown and friends are organizing this fundraiser to cover the cost of installing new Chinese Lanterns from Hong Kong at one of San Francisco's historic Chinatown's alleys.
The Central part of Chinatown, was famous for its busy drinking, eating and entertainment establishments in the 1940's until 1980's. Just before Covid-19 a Grant was awarded from Mayor London Breed's Office of Economic Workforce Development that helped purchased these beautiful lanterns and now have been installed.
Your generous donation will be used to cover the labor cost to wire and hang the beautiful lanterns. The merchants and residence would like to bring the life back to one of the most vibrant neighborhoods and tourist attractions in San Francisco.
By having the lanterns light up our streets year-round, it will deterred crime as it does in other alleys in Chinatown. The Community and visitors alike will have a better sense of security when strolling in the evening hours of Chinatown.
We hope the installation of these lanterns serves more than just beautifying SF Chinatown, but protecting and promoting a living, breathing, historic Museum. We want these lanterns to be a part of your experience.
