Beaty Family affected by Harvey
Dear Family, Friends, and Acquaintances:
My sister and her family have been hit hard with the effects of Hurricane Harvey. Linda, her son Brian, adult grandchildren Christopher and his wife Emily, and Taylor Beaty live in Dickinson Texas - the area that was hit the hardest by flooding.
I want to thank GOD that HE helped them all out-run the dangers of the flooding and that they all survived this terrible tragedy and are finally in safe environments.
My loved ones have lost EVERYTHING...homes, cars, along with all of their personal property...beds, furniture, towels...EVERYTHING! Linda had renter's insurance but they do not cover flooding. Chris and Emily have filed for FEMA assistance, and their homeowners insurance, although we do not know how long that will take. Brian lost his car, Taylor lost her car and her home.
They are in dire need of financial help because they have no jobs to go to, as businesses were destroyed as well. They have no transporation to even commute to find other jobs. Their immediate needs and for the foreseeable future include: bottled drinking water, food, essential toiletries, and financial assistance until their FEMA aid comes through. We have no idea how long that process will take given the extreme number of ALL victims involved.
Many family and friends have asked how they can help and this is they only way I know how. Our cousin, Becky, and I will be making a trip down there with supplies when the roads open and we can safely travel to them.
Most things will be scarce due to the high demand and need from SO MANY of those affected.
No amount is too small to donate, $1, $5, $10 or $20...whatever you can afford and/or your heart is comfortable giving. If you have a desire to help with relief for the Texas flood victims and you don't know who to give to, please consider helping our sweet family members out.
Please continue praying for ALL the victims of the great state of TEXAS...they need them more than ever!!
