Help Connie Beat Lymes Disease

My name is Connie Butler and I would like to share my story with you. In my previous life I was active and athletic. I had my own business as a coach and counselor and was privileged to positively impact many people’s lives. All that changed about nine years ago when I was diagnosed with Late Stage Lyme Disease.
Lyme Disease is caused by a tick bite. If not caught immediately, it eventually affects the brain and nervous system, internal organs -- and causes debilitating exhaustion and confusion, insomina and a host of other symptoms. Conventional medicine has no cure, and the only approved treatment is antibiotics, which, I have discovered, is ineffective if not administered within a few months of the bite.
My diagnosis came too late. Eventually, I was forced to give up my business to find work online that required less energy and focus. However, this October, after 9 years, I lost my online position. In response, I slashed my expenses to the bone and have taken in renters in order to survive; but I am 68 and have no savings.
I have taken numerous courses of antibiotics, plus months of naturopathic treatment. Nothing has helped. In fact, I have been getting steadily worse. Late Stage Lymes causes a brain infection which influences everything. Severe dizziness requires me to walk with a cane, my liver and bladder have been compromised, and I am no longer able to do basic daily chores let alone search for another job.
One of the things I have learned from this disease is the need for constant acceptance. At every turn as I continue to get sicker and am able to do even less I work to accept the new level of disability and seehow I can adapt to it.
Although I am blessed to have some wonderful friends who have helped, my only hope of survival is to GET WELL so I can work! For me, this requires treatment at one of the few clinics focusing on Lyme Disease. These clinics are rather like specialized “Cancer Centers”, but they are not covered by insurance. Treatment requires total commitment and at least six (6) hours a day on location to take intravenous medications, etc.
This treatment will cost about $15,000 a month plus travel and expenses, and I am determined to be in remission after six weeks of on-site treatments. So my goal is to raise $23,000. I know that if I can get specialized treatment, my chance of recovery is excellent.
It is almost unthinkable for me to ask for financial help, but I do not see any other solution. Believe me I have not taken this laying down and have tried multiple approaches. At this point there is little I can do but rest. So I humbly ask for your help to raise enough money to go to a Lyme Clinic to conquer this debilitating disease.
I am eternally grateful for any help you can offer. I know that I have more to offer in this life and will fight for that opportunity. If you find you cannot contribute sending this on the others you know would be a tremendous help.
