Update 12/29/2018:
My role changed again. Guy passed away on 12/17/2018. Thank all who contributed and shared. I'm asking for help one last time. I spent most of November and December either in the hospital with Guy or home taking care of him. It is unfortunately taking a financial toll. The mortgage is covered, the rest I'm going to get behind on, or are already behind on. I'll be okay once I have the legal parts of Guy's passing taken care of. If you can donate, please do. Update 11/22/18: Guy managed to go into remission for about four months before the cancer returned with a vengeance. Two tumors have been zapped into oblivion, two removed from his brain by surgery on Halloween, and another possible one was found recently. I am now working only one part time job outside of home. My role has changed from wife to wife/caregiver. Finances are still my biggest worry outside of Guy. Please continue reading for the origins of our fundraiser, and if you cannot donate, please share. Original post: My name is Laura Satya. My husband Guy and I have been married for 25 years, and we hope for a lot more years together.
Guy was diagnosed with small-cell lung cancer at the beginning of September after being sick since mid-July. He has been unable to work at his job due to his treatments of chemotherapy and radiation since mid-September, and now we are in danger of losing our home of 17 years. (The photo shows the front yard from the front porch.)
I have been working two jobs since September, but my income hasn't been enough to keep up with our bills. This appeal is being made as a last resort. Anything you can contribute will help. If you are unable to contribute financially, please share this post on Facebook, Twitter, or anywhere you think might help.
This fund is being specifically set up as a stop-gap, filling in for the house payment and necessary bills (food, power, water, phone) where my income isn't enough.
