<div>We are Team Ocean, four adventurers, with a mission to row across the mid-Pacific to raise awareness around water awareness and activation. We (from left to right),  Wilco van Rooijen (professional mountain climber and polar explorer), Ruurd Dasselaar, Bela Evers (Ocean Rower) en Joost Schutte will set out in May 2025 from California and row non-stop 4500km in shifts of 2 hours on and 2 hours off to Hawaii. It's going to be tough, to say the least, but the mission is clear.

<div>Being outdoor adventurers, we are grateful to be so close and 'as one' with nature. With melting glaciers, changing weather patterns, water waste and infrastructuur, we will be faced with water shortage while demand will continue to increase. By rowing the Pacific it is our mission to raise awareness and change behaviours when it comes to water awareness and sustainable water practices. We will be a living example of just using 6 litres per person per day of desalinated water. By doing so we want to challenge the status quo and behaviours of individuals and businesses. It is our mission to support education programs, activate individuals and inspire companies to step up. Sitting back is NOT an option. Let's row this ocean together to ensure there is fresh clean water for everybody.
