Beards for Jeremiah!

Donation protected
On October 24th, 2019, Hanover Park Police Department Community Service Officer Phil Hernandez and his family welcomed Jeremiah Hernandez into their family.  Upon being born Jeremiah developed an infection in his lungs. Doctors tried everything to help Jeremiah with different types of ventilators. On October 26th Jeremiah could no longer breath on his own properly and Doctors took him into surgery to put him on an ECMO system to help him breathe and allow his body to recover! The surgery went well, but Jeremiah was on a long road toward recovery.  Jeremiah was listed as critical, but stable!  Jeremiah stayed 3 ½ weeks at Luther General Hospital’s NICU.  Jeremiah made steady progress and came home with his family on November 18, 2019.  The Hernandez family has incurred medical bills that unfortunately were not covered by health insurance, including an emergency medical transport from Sherman Hospital to Lutheran General Hospital.

We believe that Jeremiah is a gift that we were blessed with and want nothing more than to assist the Hernandez family with the medical bills and continued care for Jeremiah.
