On Tuesday September 8th, 2020 Berry Creek was put under evacuation orders while the Bear Fire made one of the fastest runs in California fire history into the Oroville area.  Erica Brandon Bennett and Curran Boyle (and their two children, Amadea [3] and Alvin [10 months]) have been affected, losing their livelihood, and potentially everything on their property in Berry Creek. They are all safe, including their two dogs. While the status of their buildings remain unconfirmed, satellite shows high-intensity fire all around, and the camera they were using to keep an eye on things burned down last night.  No matter what the outcome, the family will need financial support to make it through this year. They will likely not be allowed back into the area for weeks, if not months, due to toxic fire fallout.
