Monrovia Canyon Park has many visitors, and strong bear boxes are needed to keep food and supplies safe when people visit.
This is a fundraiser for a young man, my son, and this is his Eagle Project... which will start very soon.
He is repurposing 7 large metal existing bear safe trash cans, and converting them into seven bear boxes, to be cleaned, painted, and finally anchored into the earth with minimal carbon footprint or waste.
Funds cover the materials/supplies required on his itemized list. (Cement, cinder blocks, anchor bolts, paint, etc.) The City is pleased with this project, and he has received approval on his proposal.
Project to start within this coming week, and to be completed before September 10, 2018.
