Combat Veteran Flood Recovery Fund

On July 27th, 2019 Mr. Bean came home from work only to have 5 inches of standing water in his apartment and 5 of the 6 rooms flooded along with his garage. Imagine finding all your posessions floating in water, ruined.  The only big thing not ruined was his bed as the bedroom was the only room not flooded.  This disabled combat veteran was absolutely devastated to come home to a water main break flooding his apartment with 5 inches of standing water.  He lost all his electronics, military paperwork, military items, laptop, ps4, Nintendo, furniture, shoes, and many household items.  Unfortunately he also lost some of his baseball memorabilia that he's spent thousands of hours and dollars putting together.  He lost the authentication paperwork that puts any sort of value on other pieces. He was in the middle of doing an inventory(for collectibles insurance) so some of his most prized pieces were out of cases/ protection and lost in the flooding. Est value of lost collectibles is 75-100K with some being priceless to him. 

If that wasn't enough, he had to pack everything, take a week off work, and find a new apartment immediately because the apartment was uninhabitable. 

Despite having an HOA, the owner having insurance, and his own liability renter's insurance, nothing lost in the flooding will be covered.  He's talked to multiple lawyers that also told him the same thing. 

Understandably I'm not looking to raise enough money to cover his collectibles but I'm tying to raise enough money to help him recover from not only the financial burden of having to start over,  but the emotional, mental stress of having his life turned upside down. It would be amazing if I could raise enough money to cover his personal items, lost time at work, and moving costs just to get him back on his feet.
