We want to take these amazing 5th graders to an experience that they will remember forever. We are headed to the 4H Camp at Jekyll Island, GA, May 14, 15, and 16. The Georgia 4-H Environmental Education Program at Camp Jekyll is administered by UGA Extension on Jekyll Island. Camp Jekyll is located on 10 acres on the south end of Jekyll Island, Georgia between the beach and maritime forest and uses the entire island as an outdoor classroom. Our kids, in the 21st century, spend more time on their phones than they do outside. This is an opportunity to get them to connect with the outdoors, learn about our world and problem solve using the resources provided.
We want to connect with other classrooms and share experiences with our students! We want to give them a chance to learn new things in new ways! Why limit ourselves to a classroom when we are surrounded by a world ready to be explored?
With your donation, you are helping our families afford this amazing trip! Our goal is to cover the cost of the charter bus! This would cut the cost nearlyin half! To sponsor one child, it would cost $275. We will be doing our fair share of fundraising, but with our GoFundMe account, we can reach the world!
