Beacon needs a new roof!

Please join us in making a difference! We are raising funds in aid of a much needed roof for the ENFIELD BEACON OF LIGHT SPIRITUALIST CHURCH and every donation will help.
Spiritualism is a Religion that embodies the main ideas of all Religions; that there is life after death, there is immortality and the existence of God. Our main aim is to increase the awareness of our Religion and its Philosophy. It is only with the collective help and support of our Church congregation and Church Members that we can continue to work towards bringing the knowledge of Spiritualism into the wider community. It is only by the strength of unity in a common goal that the voice of Spiritualism can grow.
The Beacon needs help! After many years – the roof has given up! We have had numerous patch up jobs to seal previous problems; but now it has come to the stage where we need to replace the entire roof of the building.
Unfortunately, after the past winter, unoccupancy and no heating, the damage has become so bad that the internal ceilings and walls are also in need of repair. The roof slates are very old and deteriorated, and cannot be patched up any longer.
Clearly this is not a little fix up job, but a major roof replacement which is going to run into thousands of pounds not just hundreds.
As the Beacon is currently closed, the roof work can commence as soon as is possible, but as we are unable to hold any special fundraising events due to the pandemic; we are seeking help from our members and friends and local community. Should anyone have any ideas on distant fundraising we would be very happy to discuss your thoughts.
To contribute to the roofing fund, you can send your donations directly to the Beacon by: -
1. Cheque, made payable to Beacon of Light SC Enfield, sent to 331 Carterhatch Lane, Enfield EN1 4AW.
2. Pay by Bank Transfer to HSBC: Account Name: Beacon of Light Spiritualist Church Enfield, Sort Code: 40-20-23, Account number: 61590650.
Reference: Roof.
3. Also, on this page where regular updates will be posted with the ongoing roof replacement. Using GoFundMe will allow you to donate using gift aid which will help with the fees charged by the platform.
