This is my friend Steve Tredget. Steve is a survivor. I first met Steve ten years ago, but as long as I’ve known him he’s been told by doctors that he only has 6 month to live. He lives with Cancer every day. He defies those diagnoses every time— he is a fighter —a tried and true survivor. He’s fought cancer for 30 years. Lately though things have gotten harder— after hundreds of operations and procedures and biopsies—Steve has decided to halt all meds and painkillers including chemo and radiation.
He is tired. But always the most positive person I know. His survival is truly a medical marvel (he actually is in many medical journals listed as such!)Steve might be the kindest person I’ve had the joy of meeting. He’d give you the shirt off his back if you asked for it, with zero reflection on himself. He always puts others needs ahead of his own— that’s his way. He’s a wise soul.
Together we are raising funds for OneWalk and Princess Margaret Cancer Research Centre on September 7th—a 25km walk!
We must raise $3000 together. If we are able to raise more than that— it will go towards paying for a Steve’s groceries and any other medical care for him and his Mum in his care and his sweet little happy dog, BD.
