Beach City Baby Propeller Overhaul

Vintage Wings Inc's Douglas C-53 Skytrooper "Beach City Baby" needs your help! We are getting close to running the engines on our C-53 which means the Ferry Flight will be soon to follow. We are aiming for late summer or early fall to do so. In order to make that happen we need to tackle a large hurdle. The FAA has mandated an Airworthiness Directive, or A.D., for the propellers to be overhauled and inspected every five years. This must be completed prior to her first flight. We have been quoted a price of $2,795 each for the A.D. and will also need to cover the cost of being repainted as well as recieving the original stenciling and decals.
