Beach Wheelchair for Anthony

I met Anthony when he was taking Brazilian Jiu Jitsu lessons with my friend Chris. He was so inspiring to watch. He does not complain, he just works. He was able to earn a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu despite difficulties.

We decided we had to box together. Training with Anthony has been one of my favorite experiences. He is such a great person to be around. He proves that if you work hard enough at something, you can find a way to achieve your goals.

Now, I want to give back to Anthony. I often train people on the beach. However, the motor of Anthony's wheel chair is too low to the ground and the sand could ruin the chair entirely if he brings it onto the beach. We want to train together on the beach so badly and I know that Anthony wants to (and deserves to) be able to enjoy the beach in general. I want him to be able to experience the joys of the ocean (and the joys of boxing near the ocean!!)

On October 25th, I will be holding a beach boxing/conditioning class with my friend Steph. All donations will be used towards getting this beach chair! Anthony will be on the boardwalk watching. Halloween attire is welcomed! For those who cannot attend and are interested in helping out, you can donate here! If we raise more money than the chair costs, we plan on donating the remainder to a charity that supports people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities to play, participate and enjoy sport and active recreation.
