beGirl.world is so excited to be turning 3 this year on June 28th! To commemorate our establish date - we are launching our $28 on 28 campaign! We are asking YOU to donate $28 on June 28th to help us continue the great work of raising girls who travel. But, the giving doesn't end that day - you have 28 days to donate! Read on...
beGirl.world is a Philadelphia based organization that educates, empowers and elevates teen girls through travel and global education. We challenge girls to think beyond their neighborhood, dream bigger than their city limits, and create possibilities outside their country borders. We do this through various methods - monthly meet ups that focus on careers that travel, careers in travel, study abroad, learning a foreign language, culinary treats, cultural dances, voluntourism and basics of traveling. We also take several domestic trips a year like New York City to see the United Nations buildings and the Statue of Liberty and to Washington, DC to see the White House, cultural museums and various Embassies. In 2016, we also embarked on a trip to Paris & London!
We are currently launching our second class in early July. This class consists of Philadelphia-area teenage girls entering the 9th and 10th grade. We are excited to help these girls discover the world and themselves. Your $28 will directly and greatly assist with passport fees, cultural trips, and supplies. The staff are all volunteer staff and do not get paid - the funds go directly to the girls.
We would like to reach $5,000 over the next 28 days and we know your $28 will help us get there! And get this - we want to raise it in the next 28 days! So, we need your help in order to raise the funds by July 26th.
