Mike and Julie Pape Insurance Fund

Hi Everyone,
This fund has been created for Mike and Julie Pape to help them to keep their current Cobra health insurance active until Mike can find employment.
Most of you know Mike and Julie, for those of you that don't, I will give you a brief description of their current situation.
A little over a year and a half ago, Mike felt called to enter into the Neighborhood Ministry at CCV as a Neighborhood Pastor. Mike and Julie have spent their lives helping and serving others. As long as I have known the Pape family, I have always been amazed by their willingness to "drop everything" to help others. The decision to become a Neighborhood Pastor meant that Mike had to walk away from a well established business in which he did custom woodworking. He came into the Ministry with a desire to serve the Lord and to serve his community. Unfortunately, not long after starting his new position, he developed some serious medical issues, he was unable to perform at a level that he needed to because of the high stress and difficult issues that come with a position in ministry. Since then, he has been searching for work, unfortunately it has been very difficult to re-enter the field in which he left. He has recently had a few, very good interviews and is positive that something will develop soon. In the meantime, Mike and Julie have been trying to cover a very expensive health insurance policy, it is very important for them because of Mike's health and also due to the fact that their son Colton has Down's Syndrome. Unfortunately, they were not able to make the payment that was due on July 1st, they were granted an extended grace period until Monday, July14th. Shawn and I felt compelled to do everything I could to help them to cover the expenses for the next few months or until Mike is able to find employment. All I can say is, I have worked with Mike and Julie on so many community outreach events, that I can't begin to remember them all. As a Neighborhood Leader, he is one of the first people I call when someone is in need. Please help us to extend a way to say "thank you" to Mike and Julie for all they have done and continue to do.
