Be the Change: Help the Warrens

Some of you know that Laurie's daughter Taylor has been in the hospital for a few weeks now. This comes on the back of years in and out of the hospital for this family. The Warrens have experienced more loss and heartache and time in the hospital with their children in the last few years than most people will go through in a lifetime. And with current medical conditions present in some of their children, this looks like it will only continue. Because of the severity of Taylor's infection, Jeremy has had to take time off of work to help Laurie with the day-to-day running of the household and the care of the children. As the sole earner for the family, Jeremy's absence from work has created a great financial need. They are down to one vehicle and have to be out of their current home in a matter of weeks.

Here's the low-down: They need to find a new home as soon as possible. Like in days. They need to be able to come up with first and last months rent and to dig themselves out of the financial hole that these medical expenses have put them in. 

We are thinking that $8,000-$10,000 would get them back on their feet in a new home and able to move forward with their lives. As we all know, asking for help is a hard thing to do, and we had to beg Laurie to set this up for her family.

As I mentioned before, the need for help is urgent. This family needs to focus on the wellbeing of their children and themselves. They don't need to worry about being able to afford a roof over their heads. This is what we do, as friends and people in general, we help each other. Laurie has the biggest heart out there and helps whoever and whenever she can. It's time to help them. It's time to help them dust off and stand tall for their children and for themselves. The amount seems like a big sum on it's own, but together, whatever we can give, we can help.
