"Be Like Ike" Fund by '91JHS'ers

Often at times like this people wonder "what they can do"? They want to help; to do something to perhaps make a difference. First and foremost, please keep Ike’s family in your prayers.
There’s been some conversation among Ike's classmates (Class of ’91, but we think it’s well-known Ike was an honorary member of pretty much every class from JHS!) and the JHS Class of 1991 Reunion Committee have set up a fund/memorial to honor Ike’s legacy. The conversations that have taken place by so, so many have driven this thought and many wonderful ideas have been discussed. The goal is to do something that embodies the spirit of "Be Like Ike".
**Please note, that 100% of the credited funds raised on here, will go towards these ideas. The main idea included a Minnesota State Fair Bench in his honor. If donating directly in Ike's name to another charitable choice is something you'd love to do instead, his family has asked you to do that, in lieu of flowers. Remember: Be Like Ike!
**Since we have reached the "State Fair bench plateau ($2500.00) I want to reassure all who have/will contribute, we are planning to use this platform as a positive contribution to all things "Ike..." Our fundraiser team will be spending some time with Ike's parents to formulate our plan as it pertains to the monetary contributions we have received above the bench plateau.
We will share each step with his parents and you, the contributors, as to what happens and what is the best path to memorialize and honor Ike and his legacy. Your contributions and donations will/could be used for JHS, Veterans help, and shelters etc. As we wrap the campaign in the next week, we'll be organizing a luncheon with the Larsen family to discuss what they feel are the best option(s).
