በስመአብ ወወልድ ወመንፈስ ቅዱስ አሃዱ አምላክ አሜን!!!
የቀዳሜ አድባራት አበራ ቅዱስ ጊዮርጊስ የቅኔ ጉባኤ ቤት በኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ የሰሜን ጎንደር አገረ ስብከት በጎንደር ወረዳ ስር ከሚገኙ የቅኔ ጉባኤ ቤቶች መካከል አንዱ ነው። ጉባኤ ቤቱ በስሩ ከ 700 በላይ ደቀ መዛሙሩት/ የአብነት ተማሪዎች አሉት።
ይህ ጉባኤ ቤት ከነበሩበት ችግሮች መካከል የመኖሪያ ቤት ቀዳሚውን ስፍራ ይይዛል። ይህንንም የመኖሪያ ቤት እጥረት ለመቅረፍ በሜልበርን ደብረገነት ቅዱስ ሚካኤል ቤተክርስቲያን የሚገኘው የቀዳሜ ሰማዕት ቅዱስ እስጢፋኖስ ማሕበር እገዛ ሲያደርግ የቆየ ሲሆን፤ በአሁኑ ወቅት በድንገተኛ በተነሳ የእሳት አደጋ የደቀመዛሙርቱ መኖሪያ ሙሉ በሙሉ ተቃጥሏል።
በዚህም የጉባኤ ቤቱ የመበተን አደጋ ከፊቱ ተጋርጧል። በተጨማሪም ተማሪዎቹ በርኃብ፣ በብርድ እና ለመሳሰሉት ከፍተኛ ችግር ተዳርገዋል። የቤተክርስቲያኑ አስተዳዳሪ ይህንን ችግር በየትኛውም ዓለም የሚገኙ ችግሩ የሚሰማቸው አካላት በጋራም በተናጠልምም እንዲሁም በማሕበር ተደራጅተው ችግሩን እንድንቀርፍ በልዑል እግዚአብሔር ስም አሳስበዋል።
በመሆኑም ማሕበራችን ይህንን ጥሪ ተቀብሎ በሚቻለው አቅም ክርስቲያኖችን አስተባብረን በምንችለው አቅም ችግሩን ለማገዝ አስበናል። ከዚህ በፊትም ለጉባኤ ቤቱ ለ 60 ተማሪዎች የሚሆን የመኖሪያ ቤት የተሰራ ሲሆን የፈጀውም 11600 የአውስትራሊያ ዶላር ነው። በአሁኑ ወቅትም ከእሣት አደጋው እንደ እግዚአብሔር ፈቃድ ሆኖ የተረፈው ይህ ቤት ብቻ ነው። እኛም የችግሩን አሳሳቢነት በመረዳት በአሁኑ ሰዓት ተመሳሳይ ቤቶች ለመስራት የበኩላችንን ጥረት እያደረግን ስለሆነ በጎ ተግባሩን የምትደግፉ ሁሉ የበኩልዎን አስተዋጽዎ እንድታደርጉ በእንተ ስማ ለማርያም እያልን የበረከቱ ተሳታፊ እንድትሆኑ ጥሪ እናቀርባለን።

St Stephen Association is a non-profit religious association established under Debre Genet St. Michael Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church in Melbourne, Australia in 2010. The Association was established with two main objectives: supporting the parent St. Michael Church and its community, and helping the traditional church schools commonly known as “Abinet/ Kolo Timhirtbet” found in Ethiopia.
Kedame Adbarat St. George Ethiopian Orthodox Church is one of the churches found in the North Gondar region of Northern Ethiopia. Kedame Adbarat St. George like many other Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Churches has a traditional school lead by the administration of the church; The lead teacher of the traditional school called “Yeneta” . The school has got more than 700 disciples. This school is essential to keeping up the Apostolic tradition of the Church. By teaching a new generation of Deacons, Priests, Bishops and Archbishops.
On May 19th 2018, an electric fire accident burnt down all of the “Gojo Bets” (grass roof houses) otherwise known as student accommodation. Damage has been done to their shelter, books, food and clothing. Currently, the situation is dire, students are being dispersed and the school is at risk of being closed down.
Therefore, we see that it’s our duty to collectively organize a fundraising campaign to collect money to rebuild the accommodation, which was destroyed. Similar to the one shown in the photos, which was built by St. Stephen association in 2017. Therefore, we humbly ask you for your little contribution to make a difference in life of many.
We ask you in the name of St. George the Martyr and in the name of Our Holy Mother St. Mary ‘Bente Sima Lemaryam’ to help us rebuild the student accommodation.
