Project Overview
Be aware is an informative and educative mobile application that is aiding teenagers and young adults by assisting them with their transition in to adulthood. Our purpose is to help them become more independent by providing free and accurate information within the Be Aware App.
The app provides over 170 topics within car, housing, travelling, college, jobs, money management and many other categories. We have chosen to focus on these topics as they can be applied to this transitional period. During their school years teenagers and young adults don’t always have access to this information which can create a lot of stress as they are not well equipped to become independent. The main focus of the app is to provide accurate information in one place so they can learn in the comfort of their own environment.
We are also dedicated to helping immigrants to ease their adaptation to their new country. We will help them have a better understanding of their new environment and society through the Be Aware App.
Why I’m Passionate About This Project
I am passionate about this project because I have lived in America as an international student for over five years. When I arrived in the US I found it really hard to adapt to the lifestyle and cultural changes whilst also trying to learn English. I tried to ask the people around me for some help on certain issues that I came across, however they didn’t always have the answer to my questions.
This is where the idea of the Be Aware App came from. Most people have been in a situation where they’ve had problems and didn’t know what to do. This situation can be stressful if you do not have the knowledge required.
The app is helping to smooth that transition and boost confidence when facing daily issues, something that I never got to experience! I wish I had something similar when I first moved to the US as it would have solved a lot of issues that I faced. I also realised that the app can be adapted to any culture or society around the world and aid us in helping them with this transitional period.
Why Sponsor This Project?
This project should be sponsored because we believe and know that the app has a huge potential and can be adapted to any country or culture across the world. The first version (US) is already available to download for free on the Google Play and iTunes app stores.
The Be Aware App will have a strong and positive impact throughout communities as it is resolving a lot of common problems we have by using new technology to innovate the way we live and learn within our society.
Because you choose to sponsor and partner with the Be Aware App you are also contributing to the major positive change and development of the way teenagers, young adults and immigrants navigate through life in multiple societies.
I am an entrepreneur who is highly motivated and has a vision of implementing the Be Aware App within communities across the US and globally. My passion and determination to see the app succeed is what drives me to make the app effective and up to date with current trends and improvements in the market. Any extra knowledge and capital provided to help fund the Be Aware App will be used accordingly to develop this project.
Future Updates
We currently have the basic version of the app available for download on Android and iTunes stores. With the investment & donations we will receive, we are looking forward to adding more advance features and expand Be Aware globally. Some of these include:

New in app design to make it easier for finding information
Complete the French, British and Ghanaian version of Be Aware
Algorithm to provide direct information based on their location, for instance - if they are ‘looking for a job’ we can provide direct links to jobs in their local area

We are looking for sponsorship and donations to help us fund our extensive marketing campaign throughout the US and globally. We are continually looking for contributors to aid us in producing more versions of the app and keep developing the app in multiple countries across the world.
We are also looking for partnerships with organisations and businesses who fit within the Be Aware structure. This allows us to create a dynamic portfolio so we can extend our reach to teenagers, young adults and immigrants throughout various countries and backgrounds. We are committed to providing this information to people from all walks of life as we believe it is essential to becoming an adult and something communities should all have access to.
