Hello, our family has fallen on some hard times with my father and truly anything would help! On October 12th my mother found my father lying on the floor fighting for his life as he had fallen from having a massive stroke. Once transported to the hospital they found multiple hemorrhaging in the brain and as they tried their best, the doctors available were not able to perform the specific surgery he was needing. He was then care flighted to Kettering Medical Center to have part of his skull removed to cauterized the hemorrhaging. After the surgery my father was still unresponsive not able to swallow or talk therefore it was deemed necessary to go ahead and do another surgery to put in a trach and gtube. Luckily they have been able to stop the bleeding, but as of right now my father is non-verbal as he is trying each and every day to regain his strength and energy. As a retired SSG from the United States Army, we know my father will pull through! Each day brings new opportunities to meet the milestones he is needs to meet and he is surpassing them all! It’s still an extremely long road to recovery as it’s about a 6-12 month process of therapy so we are asking for donations for gas, travel, and food as we are going thru these times. Thanks for everybody’s continued support and prayers! We appreciate each and every one of you.
