Be an angel for Will

My brother, William V Anacker.  At 25, has passed away from stage 4 cancer. His treatment had gone in bad directions. He was responding to chemo but very depressed and drained. The doctor gave him steroids and he had the worst adverse reaction- he lost his mental health and had brain damage. He was so impaired he could not even continue his treatment. It was heartbreaking to see him not himself. Slowly, we came out of that chapter only to discover the worst news. The cancer had spread, he could not  eat, and had a tube in his esophagus and has lost 50 lbs in two weeks.  We never hope in Will fighting his battle.  We received a beautiful miracle on William's last day of life, he was able to withstand the tube's removal to breathe on his own and speak his goodbyes to his loved ones, unfortunately his lungs could no longer sustain him and he went before my eyes on Tues Oct 9. His last wish was the join the Vatican to fight monsters, and to start a resale shop that helps the homeless who he witness struggle with mental illness and poor medical attention.  Although Will lost the battle in his body his spirit remained intact through a hell on earth and he wished only to help others and for his friends and family to know how how loved we are. He even smiled with joy at his community surrounding him. Now we wish to pay his gift forward, to make his wish a reality and bring some hope for those who struggle with poverty and illness.

Since Will was young he was hopeful and resilient, helping others in need and having fun. He was a brave shining soul. He would want the money raised to help show others that even in the darkness hope is real and go towards helping people in poverty in need of spiritual, mental and physical health care.

Will's last words were to his loved ones, "I love you, so much." For us to lose him is devastating beyond belief. Sorrow is everywhere and yet his love still changes and heals our hearts and brings us closer to who we are meant to be. I believe in kindness. In healing. In miracles. The kindness of others has helped us all get through these days of mourning his passing. Words cannot capture the gratitude I feel for all of your healing vibrations, warm thoughts, prayers, blessings, words of compassion and support. This meant so much to Will in his final days with us, to be surrounded by love, support, caring and memories of good friends long remembered and to pass these blessings on to others is the light that makes this life livable.

The Celebration of the Life of William Vincent Anacker will be held at St Cross Episcopalian church, donations can also be made to their organization. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
