Be a Part of Binny's Heart

Four pounds usually doesn't make that much of a difference in life, I'd eat donuts everyday for every meal, if I knew it was only going to be 4 lbs of regret to my pant size but four pounds can make a huge impact in life if they come in the form of a very special dog named Binny.
Binny is a tiny chi with a heart so big that his little body can not contain it all. So Binny got a job to visit senior living facilities to give parts of his big heart away to each and everyone he meets. To Binny , love is worthless unless you give it away, and so he does - to me , and to everyone who meets him.
That is what makes Binny’s four pounds so extraordinary. What makes Binny special is his hydrocephalus, along with not being able to see or hear; but he doesn't need either to feel love. Binny never wags his tail or barks - but he has his own way of connecting to humans. He simply is , and that is enough.
I adopted Binny months ago , knowing full well this was an uphill battle of medications and complications, but I chose to take this walk with him - no matter the brevity of our journey.
Binny has been a miracle - being found in a parking lot to rescue to overcoming one issue after another.
Now Binny faces another bend in our path - his soduim levels continue to drop , leading to weight loss and cognitive " hitches " as I like to call them. Rounds of bloodwork to rule out all of these rare conditions, including the potential of Addisons disease which will require expensive monthly injections. The expenses have started to add up with the ongoing medications he is on.
Binny's life will not be as long as a non hydro dog, but as long as he's mine , I'm making every minute count. Binny is not just my dog, he's everyone's dog at each senior place we visit. I want them to have him for as long as his ginormous hearts has pieces to give away. Someday, I will keep the biggest piece for myself.

I never ask for help , I hate to. But this isn't for me , it's for Binny. The four pounds in my life I'd do anything for. And so I am.
