On October 7th 2018 little Raymond lost his two year battle with Ewing's Sarcoma and passed away.
Raymond went through radiation, chemo, and four different surgeries over the course of his battle.
Raymond had gone through several sessions of Chemotheropy and was winning the battle against this horrible disease.
Raymond fought hard and was in remission for a brief 3 months.
While Raymond was in remission he went for his check up/scans to see if he was still winning the battle.
That’s when the worst news any parent should never receive was received.
The tumor had doubled in size and it was very aggressive.
Shorty after the news the tumor had spread from his lungs to his spinal cord.
Raymond began to lose function of his legs.
Multiple surgeries had been performed over the course of two years. From cutting pieces of the tumor, ribs and even pieces of his spine.
The surgeries would allow Raymond to walk again even go outside to play “ ding dong ditch” again like a normal child.
Raymond continued to receive his chemo treatments for some time only to find out that the tumors were not shrinking anymore.
The surgeon would not allow Raymond to under go anymore surgeries his body wouldn’t be able to handle it and the tumor has grown so aggressively it would be impossible to remove.
This left Raymond one last hope. Clinical trials.
Raymond would be overcome with this agressive cancer which would lead to him being paralyzed from the waist down once again.
On Sunday October 7th 2018 Raymond lost his battle and passed away.
With one income this has been a rough financial time for the family.
