A HIT AND RUN DRIVER HAS CHANGED MY DAUGHTER'S LIFE
Imagine you are walking to dinner, crossing the street, and are struck by a driver who keeps going, leaving you in a heap in the street. And your life is changed forever.
I'm taking the route of setting up a GOFUNDME page for my daughter Alicia Smith, who was the victim of a hit and run driver in Aspen, CO on the evening of March 10, 2017. She was taken to Aspen Hospital, where they saved her life, and then they immediately airlifted her to Denver for surgery for traumatic brain Injury (TBI). She was in surgery for almost eight hours, and then spent two weeks in the ICU and acute care, after which she was transferred to another hospital to begin rehab. She is now back in Aspen, continuing the long haul of speech and physical therapy.
As her brain heals from the TBI, her bills continue. She is in the appeal process for disability, but she needs financial help to get through. Your monetary contribution will be another piece toward helping her, and she and we her family will be forever grateful. And of course continued prayers for her recovery! Thank you!!!
