Edwards Family Fundraiser

We are raising money for our family, the Edwards, for costs such as living and medical expenses. Unfortunately, we do not have medical insurance, which is why we are asking for your help. Because we have been in the hospital for numerous days Lisa (my mother) and Jaime (my father) have both been unable to work. My father, Jaime Edwards, came to the hospital on Sunday, March 18th, for high blood pressure and crossed eyes. After the doctors not knowing what was going on, we were transferred through ambulance to Orlando hospital. He was intubated as he had gotten worse and his heart nearly stopped twice. He has a tube in his head draining fluid and pressure which was caused by an abscess on his brain. This was caused by a cold that lasted for two weeks in February. We had no idea something so normal could cause a dangerous bacterial infection in his body later on. His breathing tube is out and he is speaking. They are still draining fluid from the brain and it’s Saturday, March 24th. We have been told he should be in ICU for at least another week. Once we go home, we have been told it will take months for him to be better to be on his own. Till then my mother, Lisa, and I will be taking shifts that will allow us to be with him at all times while we also have to give him antibiotics through the pic line that will stay in his arm. We pray for perfect and speedy recovering, but we are asking for support and prayers. We have been told that he is blessed to be alive and nurses are excited to see his progress.
