BCC Band Camp

I'm the band director at Bay City Central High School and I've been at Central for the past 17 years. Each year we have gone away to a week of marching band camp in preparation for the fall season.  It costs $350-$375 per student to go to camp (marching shoes are $25).

During the year we do many fundraisers to include discount books, cheesecake sale, subway card sale, pizza kit sale (2 times a year), frozen pastry sale (2 times a year), and a flower fundraiser.  Through these fundraisers we have been able to raise over $9000 this year. 

Our band boosters are very active and provide many "extras" for all of our students to include awards, tee-shirts, and dinner for our students when they have to stay after school. This year they held a "reverse auction" at their annual trivia night and we able to raise $1200 in about 10 minutes to go towards students that need help paying for band camp.

I'm trying to raise an additional $2500 to go towards helping ALL of our band students get to camp next week. If you've ever experienced going away to camp you know the growth in independance and confidence that can occur in just one week. Help me make this possible for all of our band students at Central.
