SEPTEMBER 9, 2019 – FASD AWARENESS DAY

I was born with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome also known as  (FASD). I wasn’t diagnosed officially until 5 years ago at the age of  27 years old because F.A.S/FASD is a brain-based and therefore, often invisible injury. It can happen prenatally when a woman who is pregnant exposes her developing fetus/baby to alcohol. Statistics show that 9 out of every 1000 births are affected, leading to a life-long disability often with behavioral problems and other health issues.

September 9, 2019 is FASD Awareness Day. 09/09/19! A special day with a special message. British Columbia Transit has offered to help by putting the F.A.S/FASD message on their buses in August and September.

My goal is to raise $2,310.00  to create and print the posters. $2,300. Not a lot of money for such a worthy cause!

Not many people seem to be aware of F.A.S/FASD and I’m helping to spread the word. DON’T DRINK WHILE PREGNANT!

Please help me to create AWARENESS for Fetal Alcohol Syndrome & Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. Thank you.
