Kim's Kids - Memorial Family Fund
On December 11, the world changed in an instant for five kids who lost their mom. She was a beautiful, loving woman whose light shone so bright, but it wasn’t enough to pull her from the depth of depression and despair. She took her own life.
Five fabulous kids are left in the care of their Aunt Tammy and are trying to find their way forward without their mother and with profound uncertainty about their immediate future. Tammy and the kids are taking things step by step, mostly baby steps, until a new normal can settle in. There have been many tears, hugs, some anger, but mostly love between the close-knit siblings now in Tammy’s care.
Monea is the oldest at 21 years old. She works for a catering company, loves to sew and create, is into Comic-Con events and now is trying to do what she can to “mother” her younger siblings.
Kayla, 20, attends the University of Idaho. She has a sensitive nature and is the first one of the bunch to encourage and show support to the others. She’s our own family cheerleader.
Nathaniel is 18 and is attending his first year at University of Washington on a football scholarship (#71). He’s a big guy, standing 7’ tall, but has the softest heart and has one of the prettiest singing voices around. He loves sports and music.
Sam and Stino are 13-year-old identical twins. They are alike in so many ways, often finishing each other’s sentences, and yet very much individuals in their own right. They have a thirst for knowledge and consistently question the how, what, and why of everything that crosses their path.
The uncertainty of everyday living expenses, Christmas, and memorial costs are daunting for this family. This Go Fund Me is being set up to help the family cover those basic expenses and support the kids during this transition.
Thank you so much for your support.
