Send Bboy Piccolo to the Olympics

Donation protected
18-year-old Marquis "B-Boy Piccolo", from  Homestead, Florida, has his sights set on the 2018 Youth Olympics scheduled to take place in Buenos Aires, later this summer. But first, this talented young Bboy (break-boy) must overcome a major hurdle – to succeed in Japan competing with athletes from all over the world.  Marquis is one of three athletes from the United States selected to go to this next stage.  If he wins in Japan, he will go on to represent the USA in the 2018 Youth Olympics, where for the first time ever, Breakin' has been added as a sport!

Marquis’ story is nothing if not miraculous! Just five years ago, he was one of the only Bboys in his low-income neighborhood dancing.  He was only 12 years old when he began his Breakin' journey.  A volunteer from Homestead would drive  Marquis 45 minutes to-and-from Catalyst, a Hip Hop outreach program run by Youth For Christ, several times each week. Now his hard work and dedication have paid off, but the Olympics qualifier do not cover travel expenses for the Bboys beyond room & board.

So we have created this Go-Fund Me on his behalf to raise funds for his travels.

Help us get Bboy Piccolo to Japan so he can not only represent Miami, but U.S.A.! The country that gave birth to both Breakin' & Hip Hop culture.
