LinkedIn For Good InDay: Goldie's Place

Goldie's Place, for over 17 years, works with homeless adults providing dental, employment assistance and supportive services, at no cost. Our comprehensive services impact the lives of more than 1,000 homeless people each year, affording them the opportunity to gain self-sufficiency and self-confidence to aid in rebuilding their future.
We have provided employment services to over 230 homeless men and women in 2013. The program's comprehensive job search techniques, resume writing, application preparation, computer lab, interview and presentation skills resulted in job placement for close to 500 participants in the last four years.
Through a partnership with College of Dentistry at UIC, Goldie's first ever Student-Run Dental Clinic, from 2008-2013, has provided over $1.1 million dollars worth of services.
