Becky Sciacca's Medical Fund

Donation protected

Becky has two adult, married daughters and is a grandmother.  She lives by herself and helps out with her grandkids and her aging parents.  A little over a year ago, Becky suffered what was thought to have been a mild stroke.  She was out of work for several weeks in the hospital and then in therapy.  Since then she has had numerous other related issues that have caused her to use up all of the sick, vacation, and comp time available to her.  After some extensive additional tests, she received a call from her neurosurgeon last week to inform her that she had a dangerous aneurism that needed to be operated on immediately.  The surgery took place this past Wednesday and by all accounts was successful.  However, her recovery will require her to be out of work for up to three months.

Because of Becky's lack of available time, she may suffer a lapse in her health insurance coverage.  She will be living with one of her daughters during recovery but will still have rent, insurance, and other expenses that need to be met.  Additionally, if she loses her health insurance, she stands to accumulate some significant medical expenses.

Becky is a very headstrong, independent person.  Those of us who work with her have grown fond of her and we appreciate her tenacity.  The purpose of this gofundme is to give friends, family, and coworkers and opportunity to help her offset some of her expenses as she recovers.  Your consideration will be greatly appreciated by her and her family.
