Coach Z's Retirement

Many of you have asked when Coach Z's final season is going to be. After 38 years of coaching, 33 of which as head coach, this is it; the fall of 2017. Something Coach Z is proud of but too humble to advertise is that he's amassed 266 wins with a 74% winning percentage over his career. In addition, he currently holds the #3 slot on the all-time win list in the state of Washington among active coaches. But as he and all the members of the 2008 State Championship team are well aware of is that, "Coach Wooden was right, you win with people."
Z is well aware that this success would not be possible without the wide-eyed players, loyal coaches, supportive school administrators, colleagues and devoted community members. I know the influence he has had on my life (obviously!) and also on the lives of many others as I receive an impressive amount of compliments from Adna, Rochester and Cashmere alum about his impact. What I know about these compliments is that they would mean so much more coming directly from you during this final season.
I encourage you to come to a game and reintroduce yourself as a grown adult who he's had a positive impact on to make this last season his most special and memorable yet.
So what's Z going to do now? His plan is to load up his RV, hitch up the boat and set off on an epic road trip across the country with his Golden Retriever, Max, attending various college football games and fishing along the way. As much a thank you is all Z would ever want, I know a fully funded trip from the people he's influenced would be a remarkable way to kick off his retirement.
If you would like to attend a game the schedule is provided in the link below. Additionally, after the September 23rd game at 1 PM against Graham, B.C. Coach Jones would like as many former players to come down on the field after the game. We will continue to the Club Crow between 5-7 PM for all former players and coaches to stop by.
Please pass this along to any former players or students who you are in contact with to really get the word out there. Whether it be through a forwarded email, sharing it on social media or mentioning it to someone - anything helps. I was a player fairly recently and was a little young to remember you all when I was a ball boy in Adna or Rochester. On behalf of the Zukowskis, thank you in advance and Go Dogs/Warriors/Pirates!
