Alternative cure for a brain tumor

Donation protected

My wife, Siobhan, was diagnosed with a Grade 2 oligodendroglioma in 2012. She was 32 and is the mother of 2 small boys (Gabriel, now 6 years old and Noah, now 4). 50% was in her motor area, 50% in her speech. A few weeks later, in July of 2012, she was scheduled for and underwent brain surgery. Unfortunately they were only able to remove the 50% of it from her motor area. The longer they proceeded, the more her speech was affected.

Post-surgery the tumor that was left seemed stable without much progress. However, in July of 2013 our neurologist detected a change. He immediately put her on chemo therapy for a year. Now we're in our 11th round and there has been no change, leaving us to believe that either the chemo has had no effect on it or is keeping it at bay. Regardless, next month is her last round.

Our only option would be radiation, but her family (both sides) has a history of dementia and Alzheimer’s which has diagnosed in both her grandparents, and early in her dad. We fear that radiation will cause an early onset of dementia. Her biggest fear is not being able to communicate with the boys and having them see her as she saw her grandparents.

Without any other course of treatment, we are moving to Simpson Oil which has been shown to have positive results in cancer and brain tumors. It’s the last hope to deduce the tumor and save her life.

Unfortunately, Simpson oil is not cheap. It costs $20 per day and needs to be taken every day for 6 months and then a periodical maintenance regiment. In addition, we need to apply for a medical card for her to obtain it.

For the past 6.5 years, Siobhan has been a stay at home mom. I have been working to support the household of 4 people and things are always tight. The cost of treatment for the 6 months is more than we can afford presently. I am looking to take a second job to help supplement the additional cost but any assistance would be so helpful.

My goal with this is to help offset as much as I can to make sure she can at least try to last form of treatment we can find and help extend her life as long as possible for the boys. Her goal is to make as many memories as she can with them and she wants to be in their lives as long as she can. Hopefully she can see her boys walk down the aisle one day.

The boys mean so much to her and she means so much to them. I need to keep her around as long as I can and I am trying to do whatever I can to make than happen. Thank you for considering helping. It means the world to her, the boys, and me.
