Who is bb7
We are a local engineering, design and testing firm that has been in the Madison area for 75 years. The “b”s in bb7 come from Bjorksten Labs (founded in 1944) and BIT 7 (founded in 1992), which merged in 2000 to form bb7. Since then we've united pioneering research with excellence in engineering and design, testing and product commercialization, to make big ideas real.
We provide the “usual” capabilities one would expect: research, design, engineering (mechanical, electrical, systems, and software), prototyping and product testing. We also offer traditional research and development, visual brand language, staffing, and finite element analysis, among other niche specialties.
As an organization, we focus our talents on developing innovative products in the consumer, industrial, medical, and automotive industries.
What We're Doing
To celebrate our 75th anniversary, we’ve decided to host a car show! In addition to our work in the automotive industry, we have many employees within our company who are passionate about collecting, tinkering with, and restoring vehicles (including cars, bikes, and motorcycles). We will be showing off our vehicles and will be inviting the community to show of theirs as well.
In the same way we are passionate about cars, we are passionate about innovation and product development in the medical field. From medical start-ups to Nobel Prize-winning technology, bb7's expertise has made a significant impact in medicine. We are driven to continue making a positive difference in people's lives through innovative products.
Who We're Supporting
We don't want to just host a regular car show - we want to live our company values and give back to our community by supporting a local organization. While our committee was brainstorming, the American Family Children's Hospital was an obvious choice. Supporting the Innovation in Medicine Fund at the Children's Hospital was something we could all get behind - because who doesn't want to help kids, right?
American Family Children's Hospital is also dedicated to excellence and innovation in children's care. They are ranked as a top children’s hospital in four medical and surgical specialties, placing it among the elite children’s hospitals in the nation. They are a full-service, comprehensive children’s hospital, caring for the sickest and most seriously injured infants, children and adolescents.
We will be collecting donations the day of the event, but we wanted to kick-off the fundraising sooner. Therefore, this GoFundMe will be up all summer, running up until the day of the event. We have challenged ourselves with the goal of raising $5,000 through this event.
How you can help
We are asking for your donations to help us meet our fundraising goal to support the American Family Children's Hospital. Every contribution - big or small - helps achieve better health outcomes and solve problems facing patients and doctors at the Children's Hospital.
