Bayleigh's fight against FSGS

Bayleigh is three years old and has recently been diagnosed with FSGS. This is a chronic kidney disease that let's protien and other nutrients pass through to her urine instead of being absorbed as it is meant to. Bayleigh has dealt with swelling of her abdomen most of her life! We had seen multiple doctors and nobody seemed worried and put it off as "just normal 2 year old with a belly". At a year old she started getting swelling around her eyes and after seeing multiple doctors that was said to be "just allergies". Some days the swelling was worse then others but still the doctors didn't seem concerned.
Around her third birthday she started to go downhill getting ill multiple times a month. I started looking at Celiac was a possible google answer and asked the Dr. To run some tests to see if there was an underline cause for all of the symptoms she was having. The blood test came back with many red flags and the Dr. Sent her for x-rays and ultrasound.. when the results for the ultrasound came back normal I felt relief, but it was very short lived.
That next night Bay spiked a 104.5 fever and couldn't stop throwing up from human metapneumovirus. At the ER the nurse immediately asked how long her belly had been extended (the swelling was down that day after not eating and being sick multiple times).
I wish I knew that nurses name because she is the reason we have answers now.
After 3 weeks in and out of the hospital and a long awaited biopsy, we know she has a kidney disease that is stable at this point. She was put on 7 daily medications, and a low sodium diet. Most of the meds are covered by insurance but there are a few that are not. I am struggling to keep my head above water being a single mom out of work. This is hard for me, but I am to the point where I have no other choice then to ask for help.
