Hello!
My name is Esat and I'm from Houston, Texas. On January 11th, I turn 22 and for my birthday I want to do something special and give back to the communities which have helped raise me into who I am today.
Many students who, like myself, come from low-income background learn too late the values that business knowledge provides to one's pursuit in improving their communities and devoting themselves to public service. However, this does not stop them from committing themselves to serving their communities in any way possible.
In order to fill the gap between their business knowledge and pursuits to serve their communities, I have started a fellowship called "The Bayar Fellowship." The Bayar Fellowship is designed to provide stipends, business curriculum, and mentors to FOUR high school students who are interested in utilizing business knowledge to improve their communities. In an effort to improve impoverished communities and provide guidance to business-minded young leaders, I created this fellowship to encourage public service, business acumen, and entrepreneurship.
Starting on January 11th, the fellowship will be open to new applications, and on May 30th, applications will begin to be reviewed. From there, four applicants will be given a $220 grant and assigned a mentor who will guide and support them through their pursuits.
