Bay Area Rugby Varsity All-Stars

To the USA Rugby Community and Bay Area High School Rugby Supporters,

On June 22nd 2017, the Bay varsity All-Stars will travel to Corvallis, Oregon to represent Rugby NorCal at the Great Northwest Challenge, a USA Rugby Regional Cup Tournament.  At the tournament, players will have a chance to showcase their skills in front of college coaches and All-American selectors.  https://www.usarugby.org/rct/ 

The Bay All-Stars won the 2016 tournament (team pictured) and are excited to defend their title in 2017.  A number of returning players and a host of new faces will play a warmup match against the Sac Valley All-Stars on June 17th at SFGG's field and clubhouse.  

Players from all different backgrounds will represent no less than 11 clubs at the tournament:  Elsie Allen Lobos, Pleasanton Cavaliers, Lamorinda Rodents, San Francisco Golden Gate, Danville Oaks, Peninsula Green Beavers, Silicon Valley Rugby Club, Berkeley Rhinos, De La Salle High School, Oakland Warthogs, and Solo Falcons.  

The cost of the trip is approximately $350/player and with 25-30 players on the squad.  Please donate to help ease the financial burden of the players.  Your donation will give an opportunity for potential future Olympians and/or USA Eagles to be seen by coaches and selectors at the next level.  Every little bit helps!
