Get involved in the 9th International Children’s Festival! It will be a crossroad of cultures uniquely celebrated with folk dance performances, ethnic food and cultural booths from all around the world. BUT WE CANNOT MAKE IT HAPPEN WITHOUT YOU! Please support this cause now to help us provide free admission to children and their families. Help them learn about one another, make connections, and become global citizens of the world. The International Children’s Festival is coming soon, on April 21st,
2018, and we need your help to make it a success.
We are raising this money to rent:
1) the STAGE to host the cultural dances of 26+ different cultural dances in the first place for $6750.
2) PONY RIDE for $1250
3) PETTING ZOO for $1250
4) PR for the festival for $11 100
5) the field, tables/chairs/canopies etc for
$10 000
6) popcorn/cotton candy machines for $500
7) washing stations for $2800
8) jumpers for $2000
The festival has been privately funded by donations from volunteers in the Bay Area who believe in the unique message and importance of such an event. However, priv
ate donations fell short of making our vision a reality. To enhance the quality and enrich the content of the festival, we need your help. In order to broaden the impact of the festival, we must:
(1) reach out to a wider audience,
(2) integrate more activities that will help all children and their parents bond,
(3) communicate with many other communities to come, present and teach us about their cultures at the festival.
Please help us make this festival a reality once again, with much broader impact, in order to enhance
friendship and dialogue among diverse communities of the Bay Area, and serve as a means to build bridges between them.
The upcoming festival will be held on April 21st, 2018 from 10AM-6PM in Discovery Meadow Park (180 Woz Way, San Jose, CA 95110). Located next to the Children’s Discovery Museum, the park offers a lush grassy area for children to play.
