Baxter's Gift of Life

Baxter Womack, son of Brent and Lynne Womack, has completed his treatment for cancer. and he receiving 6 chemotherapy treatment over a 3 month period. This is great news, the doctors have always said that after the treatments the odds are 90% that he will be cured for life. That is great!!
Baxter is four years old and was diagnoses with Burkitt’s Lymphoma; now the scare is over! Baxter is an extraordinary child with a great attitude!
He is stronger now than he was when we started the whole process, and he is back to running around and playing just like he was before he was diagnosed. Baxter still has a ways to go with his blood counts and immune system recovery after this last round. He has final scans on July 10th, and then he should return to school the first of August with the rest of his friends. We are so happy to be done with all of this.
Baxter’s parents, Lynne and Brent, both work for the State of Georgia as natural resource professionals. Brent is a Wildlife Biologist with DNR and Lynne is a Forest Health Specialist with the Georgia Forestry Commission. They both love nature, but they love their son more.
Assistance is still being accepting through the GoFundMe Page, any contributions would be appreciated. We are trying to help the Womack’s by setting a goal of $10,000 to offset medical costs. We hope to have this goal reached by the time Baxter returns to school in August. This funding will help the family through one of the toughest times of their lives and will help Baxter return to being a health and active child.
