Bauer's Surgery

Bauer is a 3 year old rescue pup that we have had for over a year now. Despite his difficult start to life he is an loving energetic dog who brings joy to anyone he meets. 4 months ago Bauer needed surgery for a bowel obstruction after eating a squeaker out of a toy. Despite removing all toys and items in our house that could cause another obstruction Bauer is in need of another surgery after eating seaweed at the beach.
We are asking for help to pay for Bauer's hospital bills so that we can give him the care that he deserves. He has been in the doggy ICU for about 12 hours now receiving IV fluids and medications to make him comfortable. He has been getting X-rays and ultrasounds to check the progression of the obstruction. Unfortunately trying to manage his condition conservatively has not worked and Bauer is not progressing well and requires another surgery and 1-2 more days in the hospital after his surgery.
Bauer has been such a blessing in our lives and is a great dog who loves to play and run and is always able to make people smile with his brown eyes and goofy demeanor. He loves long hikes as well as going mountain biking and snowboarding with his dad. Just this week Bauer learned to overcome his fear of water and went swimming for the first time. Please consider helping our family so that we can give Bauer a fighting chance to get back to the things he loves.
When Chris and I are in a better place financially we will donate all of the money we raised to a dog rescue organization to help other dogs in need.
