Earlier this year, Bettyanne received the news no one ever wants to hear, “you have breast cancer.” The news rocked her family. As anyone who has ever fought this disease knows, it is a complete tectonic shift in your life and everything you thought was important up until that moment. You worry about your health, your future, your family, and your mortality. There is so much to juggle, with doctor’s appointments, surgeries, radiation, and chemo while still trying to maintain some consistency and normality in your life. The last thing any person should have to be worried about is the burden of the health care bills as they continue to mount.
