Beat Cancer with Caitlin

Caitlin Nicole Smart is an 18 year beautiful girl with a heart of gold, who recently graduated from Greer High School, located in Greer, SC.  The day before she was set to walk the stage for her high school graduation (after experiencing very severe stomach pain for several weeks) Caitilin was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma. This  cancer is located in the top of her stomach that has metastasized into parts of her liver.

Leiomyosarcoma is a rare form of cancer, and accounts for 5-10% of soft tissue sarcomas, which are in themselves very rare.

Before all of this Caitlin was a typical teen. She was working a part time job, enjoyed hanging out with her best friend, Hannah, was waiting to go to Senior Week at the Beach,  and just doing typical teenage activities. Unfortunately, she hasn't gotten to enjoy her summer getting ready for college like her peirs have been able to do.  Instead her life took another turn and God has something different planned for her.

Her plans to attend college orientation at College of Coastal Georgia- College has been put on hold for now. 

Caitlin loves her family, friends, her two dogs Georgia and Cooper, music, football, and her University of Georgia Bulldogs! *we can forgive her for her love of the Bulldogs :) *

If there is anything you can do to help support Caitlin and the Smart family please do so. Caitlin, Addie, and Trevor are dear friends of my and my wife and are terrific people all around. Caitlin and Trevor are going to be in Houston, Texas undergoing chemo treatments for the next 2 1/2 months.

All of the funds recieved will go directly to the Smart family to help them will offset all of the costs they are enduring during this time.
