Dear Basta Pasta Customers
Thank you so much for supporting us especially during this unprecedented event. It has been a great pleasure for us to serve you for almost 30 years at Basta Pasta. We are facing a critical moment to keep our restaurants open. During my operation for the past 30 years, we have never imagined that we had to close our restaurants like this. We have stayed with our community and customers and gone through difficult times together like hurricane Sandy, 9/11, blackouts.
And now, like most restaurants in NYC, we had to lay off most of our team members and even for employees who are actually helping our operation at this moment, we had to cut their salaries. They are truly the backbone of our everyday operation and we couldn’t make it this far without their dedication.
While unemployment benefits will help many of our laid-off staff, these benefits will not be enough to cover their needs and family members. 75% of all the donations and gift certificate purchases will directly go to our staff members to help their needs.
