Bass Guru's Wish

My childhood friend and classmate from high school has stage 4 terminal cancer.    Tom and I are members of the Wall High School 1980.  We are a very close class till this day.  He has been talking to his friends, classmates and family about his sickness and recently posted how severe his condition had become.  He has faced his situation with courage, love and an unending love and compassion for everyone he encounters.  He is still fostering both cats and dogs even though he is sick.  He is a selfless human being.

Tom is married to a beautiful woman named Suzanne.  They are each other's soulmates.  Suzanne wants to put together a concert to honor Tom's dream and goal.  Suzanne wants to communicate this

Dear Friends of Tom Richards (Kosinski)

I want to set up a concert for Tom here in Pulaski Tennessee. He has songs he is trying to record but I'm not certain he will be well enough to accomplish this on his own. I'd love to have our friends perform his songs along with other songs to create a concert here in Pulaski Tennessee on our 60 acre farm. At that time we can also record the performances live and mix a live CD out of that for him. This is his last wish. I am here to see it through. We have several people organizing this along with me. If possible keep in touch with me and maybe we can give my sweet husband the concert of his life. We don't have it all figured out yet but it's coming together. Feel free to contact me, Suzanne Richards, with any questions or comments you may have.

Thank you all for your love and care.  Suzanne

Tom posted this on his Facebook page a few days ago:

"Hello everyone.

I never thought I would be writing a post like this, ever. It is one of the hardest things I've ever done in my life.

Some of you know I have been fighting Stage 4 colon cancer since it was discovered in February 2017. Few know I am Stage 4 “fatal” (inoperable, incurable.)

I just received the news that I have a very limited time left, a few months at best. My doctors have all stated my prognosis as “weeks to months”, with an emphasis on “think months, definitely not years.”

I was hospitalized Tuesday, Sept. 4th for a liver issue and was just discharged late yesterday. For 7 straight days I and my lovely wife Suzanne have received nothing but worsening news.

While I had responded well to my first chemo protocol, and the cancer had shrunk 40%, I had to switch protocols and my cancer has become resistant to chemo. My cancer has aggressively been growing, especially active in my liver. Without getting into a long story my liver function is such that I can no longer receive any treatment for my cancer and between the liver malfunction and the cancer my prognosis is very, very short.

Suzanne and I have plenty of world class medical support surrounding us. So we ask that you don't post additional medical advice or alternative medical Treatments. If you post we would love to see prayers thoughts and possibly a memory from sometime in our lives that you remember the most and can bring a smile to our faces.

Suzanne and I I ask all of you for your prayers, love and support. We ask all of you who can to please visit us here in TN, to share old, good times, spend some time and just enjoy the company. We've got tons of room. More than anything, we need to create some new memories with friends, and get to see y'all while I'm still in good shape.

I especially ask my musician friends if they will help me complete and record five songs. If I can pay you I will make that happen. I hate asking for charity. I would like to make these last recordings something I can leave for all of you and my wife to remember me by.

Feel free to call, write, email, Facebook message, Instagram message, Facebook phone call or video call, or any other method you feel will enhance our time speaking.

Thank you all again for being my and Suzanne's friend for all these years and for giving me some of the best times a man could ever have. I look forward to hearing from all of you soon.

In Peace, Love, unity, and harmony,

Tom"
