My name is James Snead. I am an 8yr volunteer and I have accepted the role as Tournament Director. It is a great honor to continue the great work that was started nearly 20yrs ago.

Bass Fishing Kids, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that organizes fishing tournaments for kids, ages 5-17, to educate on fishing techniques, instill sportsmanship and have fun in a family atmosphere. These tournaments are open to all kids in the community. We are based out of Broward County, but children from surrounding counties are more than welcome to participate. We hope to continue to have tournament dates in Palm Beach County, as well as parent/child team tournaments.
The tournament trail consists of eight tournaments a year. Six tournaments are qualifying events and one tournament as a wildcard. The top-qualifying anglers will then compete in the kid’s Classic. Participants are divided into two divisions, Small Fry, for ages 5 thru 10 years old, and Juniors, for ages 11 thru 17 years old.
At the end of every tournament, medals and prizes are awarded. At the Classic, the grand prizes are awarded in an honorary ceremony. We are proud to award Angler of the Year in each age division. The Classic winner is awarded a Pond Boat with a Minn Kota Trolling Motor, Interstate Battery and Hummingbird Color Fish Finder.
We also volunteer our services, time and equipment to local fishing clubs and local high schools to help educate and organize fishing tournaments to raise money for their organization.
Kids benefit from these tournaments in many ways. Aside from learning how to fish, refining already learned skills and spending time with family outdoors, several of our kids have received college scholarships and have gone on to fish for their colleges. Even a few compete in the professional ranks.
100% of your generous donations will go to the organization for entrance fee scholarships, insurance, permits, medals, and all prizes (big and small) awarded to the participants and tournament winners throughout the year. Donations will also be used for a celebratory cookout for all participants and family members after the Classic tournament.
Funds are needed year-round for budget planning for the upcoming year's events.
Other sponsorship opportunities are available in lieu of monetary donations.
